Di Lu obtains doctoral degree

On July 7th, 2020, Di Lu successfully defended her thesis and obtained a doctoral degree. Her dissertation is titled 'Three empirical essays on family economics and corporate governance'. Her research interests cover a wide range of topics including matching in the marriage market, board gender diversity, and director style effects. She presented her research projects in international conferences such as the European Association of Labour Economists 2019 and the American Economic Association 2019.

 

Di earned her bachelor's (2011) and master's (2014) degrees from the Fudan University in Shanghai, China. She continued her Ph.D. study in the GSEFM program of the Goethe University Frankfurt, the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, and the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Di has been affiliated to our chair since 2016 and became a research assistant in August 2018. In September 2020, she will take over a new position as an assistant professor at the Department of Finance, Lingnan College, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in Guangzhou, China. We wish her all the best for the future.
